The Daylight Award by VELUX Stiftung 2007

Bob Gysin + Partner Architects (BGP) in Zurich have been awarded with The Daylight Award for their project Forum Chriesbach, an office building for the Swiss Federal Institute for Environmental Science and Technology in Dübendorf.

BGP represent themselves as forward-looking architecture, with creativity and innovation being as important to them as an integrated approach to the brief in every aspect of sustainability: social, ecological, economic and the energy balance. They aim to take the entire lifecycle into account in producing architecturally outstanding and sustainable buildings.

Before receiving The Daylight Award in 2007, BGP have been awarded Architecture and Technology Innovation Award, Baupreiz Ruercher Oberland, Reiners Foundation Architecture Award, Schweizer Solarpreis, Swisspoi Innovationspresi, and Watt d’Or Award of Swiss Federal Office of Energy.

According to the jury, Forum Chriesbach is outstanding by its optimal, comprehensive and deliberate utilisation of daylight, thereby setting new standards of sustainability with innovative combination of important aspects such as lighting, heating and energy.
